Or wherever they have thier servers for Microsoft.com. Does anyone really know where the MS data center really is? (does anyone really care?) It could be in Butthump, AR for all I know.

They need ENORMOUS bandwidth to let people download millions of bugs every day!

OR, maybe they don't have enough bandwidth and their connection skips a few bits here and there to make it look like they have FAST connections... Thus all the bugs and errors.

I could be wrong though... :p

No, no!

Bugs are defined by Microsoft as "bytes skipped during the program compilation process", not as "bytes skipped during the download process" :)

BAH. Netscape comes down from their own servers just as fast (it's just that they don't get that many downloads ;) )

they probably have a fiber network all to their own... 2 or 3 OC-256 plus smaller ones.

I'm more impressed by the bandwidth of the servers that served the latest matrix trailer. Something like 40 terrabytes moved in a few days...
