I ommitted the weeks that weren't complete. I wonder how much it would cost for this connection if I had to pay for it?

not much at all. Probably around 2GB/week download, though sometimes more (depends if I am in the mood for downloading), 100-200mb upload.

<< why is your upload so high? You let people leech off you?

what kinda connection is that?
>>

Yeah, I let Morpheus run with almost the entire 7 seasons of Star Trek:TNG shared (I'm missing a few episodes still).

It's a university connection. Probably OC-3 or something.

Hmm, depending on newsgroup traffic on my ISP server (the more good posts, the more I dl)... I've done 2Gigs/day before... right now I'm down to about 700mb a day down... me = me & two other people. I account for about 75% of the bandwidth though...

Crap, I am actually HAVING a problem with my bandwith usage right now.....

Up here in Alaska, our Cable Modem Provider alots us a given amount of bandwith we can use for a month. I pay $100 a month for my plan and I am alloted 20gigs of transfer per month.

It is myself and three other guys, all having our own computers who use this cable modem. We have had it since september and since then we never had any problems with going over our transfer limit. Well, last month we went over by 25gigs! No one has no idea why. We all d/l music, and two of the guys were downloading an occasional movie, but we have no idea how the hell we used 45gigs of bandwith. Is 45gigs really that much? Or what? I really didn't like seeing the $500 charge I got on my bill for the excess usage ($20 for each gig over).....

Currently this week I downloaded 87 gigs or so of divx movies of my network. Can only imagine what my upload was:Q
The university has a OC-3 I believe.

I used to serve britney spears videos and interviews along with divx movies outta my school connection. Massive amounts of bandwidth. Good thing that was a scsi system too, cause I don't think most other systems coulda handled it. Boss/coworkers deleted all my stuff after they reformatted the server.
