Hi !

Anybody could tell me how to calculate the
minimum power requirements for my system's PS ?

The system:

MoBo Soyo Dragon +
Athlon XP2000
PAL8045 w/PAPST 8412NGH (cfm=46.5;36db)

512Mb DDR PC2700 Samsung
Gainward GF3Ti200
CDROM LG 72x
(2x) HD Seagate 40Mb

CyberMirror case
(1x) case fan PAPST 8412NGH (cfm=46.5;36db) exhaust
(2x) case fan PAPST 8412NG (cfm=40.6;30db) intake

I want a PS with dual cooling (intake + exhaust)
to help airflow. In the future, I'll put a CDRW, too.
Do I really need a 430W PS ?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Any powersupply that can provide 30A on the 5V rail will be adequate. Some 300 watters do (Antec) but most other brands 330-350 and higher do as well.

Get an Antec 300 or 350. You could also go for an Antec TruPower 330...even better than their current PSU's (Is that possible?)

I have an Enermax 300W PSU for my TBird 1.2G with:

2 CD-R/RW,
4 HDDs,
1 Internal SCSI Jaz,
1 FDD,
1 LS120 FDD,
3 80mm fans,
2 40mm fans (hdd cooler)
1 USB hub with a scanner and a webcam.

without any problem.
