I've heard that the Integra Type R's are available in limited quantities in the US. How many are brought to the US each year? (does anyone know for sure?)

yeah, i did a pathetic look on edmunds, but they didnt say. i remember hearing like 800, but ive seen way too many here in the states. then again, i dont remember the year before they had em, so maybe for the year 2000 it was 800 or so. they are all numbered, so ya.

edit: and they are built here, just very limited, cause they only like 23k. it would cost way much more if they were imported.

Bigbootydaddy:

I am pretty well positive the Type R is made in Japan. I know my 1999 GS-R was made in Japan, and as far as I know none of the Integras are produced in the U.S.

I saw two Type R's at the Acura dealership I went to near Los Angeles. Supposedly there is only 1000 made a year, but who knows.
