1. Though I had to go the damned DMV 3 times for various "bureaucratic" crap (ie, tail light didn't work once. forgot a paper at home the other time). 3rd time was a charm.

If we are talking about actual driving in the test then your pole is flawed. I never did the driving portion of the test. I only had to submit to the written.

Once.

Didn't Study.

Only got one question wrong (and that was only because I had just been in Germany, where I had been a passenger in an accident, and the question was about insurance and it is different in Germany and I got it mixed up).

Twice for written test.. failed first time and came back and read the handbook. Got 100% correct second time.

Once for written, 2X driving (I was 14 & accidentally drove on the wrong side of the road for about 100 feet).

Once for written, twice for driving test. Missed the driving portion by 3 points if I remember correctly. Had to switch gears one too many times during the parallel park. Of course that was 6 years ago.

I took the road test twice. It was pouring rain and they wouldn't let me wait 30 minutes for it to clear up. I couldn't see 3 feet in front of me and any normal person wouldn't have been driving.
