It's got its plusses and minuses. I used to entertain a lot, and its a good house for large parties, meetings, and events, but on the down side it's too easy to accumulate way too much junk, which I've done, and so it's quite the project to thin things out to the point where I can find the things I actually need.

Unless you have a media room/workout room/two story den/living room/study/unfinished basement.

Not necessarily. A big house may have large rooms, plus things like a theater, dining room, breakfast room, parlor, ballroom/dance room, indoor pool, etc. They don't always have lots of bedrooms.
