128 kbps = about 1 meg/minute, so 64 minutes. 192 is 2/3 that, and 256 is 1/2 that, so 30 min or so.

You can also convert them to wma(if it's supported), so that you can fit about twice the amount of mp3

Do da math man!!! It all depends on the length and quality of songs. If its MP3's and they are roughly 3.5Mb per song then the answer is???? damn pull out the calculator if you can't do 64Mb/3.5Mb =????

well

1 second @ 128Kbps = You guessed it, 128KiloBITS PerSecond,

lets have an example

4:31 song CBR @ 128Kbps MP3

Method 1

  • (4*60)+31 = 271 seconds

  • 128Kbps * 271 = 34688Kb

  • 34688Kb / 8

  • 4336KB / 1024 = 4.234375MB

  • 64MB - 4.234375MB = 59.765625MB Remaining

Method 2

(Still at 128Kbps compression)

  • (4*60)+31 = 271 seconds

  • 128Kbps * 271 = 34688Kb

  • 34688Kb / 8

  • 8(64MB) - 34688Kb

  • 512Mb - 34688Kb

  • 512Mb - 34688Kb / 1024

  • 512Mb - 33.875Mb = 478.125Mb Remaining
