How many sit-ups should I do RIGHT NOW ?

OK...this will be the first workout I have had in a year. I want to do some sit-ups before I go to bed. How many should I do ?

do them until you cant do anymore...

do reps of 10 til they start to get hard, wait a couple minutes (or do some push ups), then do reps of 5 til that starts to hurt again, keep lowering your reps til you cant move your stomach muscles....

40 reg crunches... 40 side crushes each side (80 total) 40 diagonal crunches each side (80 total) and 40 lower leg crunches (lay down, bring your legs toward your body, crunch then push your ass in the air)

if you get all 240 of these crunches with good form done tonight, you'll be feeling it tomorrow.

Why do people have the mentallity that more and more situps are better? Do guys that bench huge weights get that strong by doing thousands of pushups? In other words try adding weight instead of having some lofty number as a goal.
