How many quarter did you spend on Street Fighter 2?

I was more into MK than SF. MK I was great, but I think the best was MK II. When MK 3 came out, it sort of lost its touch, but I still played it...but it wasn't the same as MK II. 🙁

Why the heck were there so many F.N. versions of Street Fighter 2? I mean c'mon folks...:roll: I admit I played Turbo on the Super Nintendo...but seriously...

Dude, I spent a bazillion dollars on SF2. And yes, I dominated ALL! Guile was king on SF2 (original). There was no stopping him. 🙂

I also dominated in MK, MK2 and MK3 were great too, but after that, the MK series just sucked. PS, N64 and PC gaming became very big then and there was no need to go to the arcades any more. And yes, SF2/MK sucked on ANY console back then (SNES, Genesys). The REAL SF2/MK players were at the arcades. 😉

xbox is coming out with a SF anniversary collection that contains all of the old SF games. Should be awesome.

I very rarely played it in the arcades used to play it a fair bit on the SNES though. Loved Operation Wolf though that was a quality game in its time 🙂

Yeah, that and the games like it were the ones that I liked and played through. I beat the original TMNT, the simpsons one, and the X-men.

for the SF question, I didn't really get into fighters TOO much until SF2 was on SNES, which is what really started me on fighters. I didn't play it TOO much in arcades however, cause KI and MK came out not too sooner.

Oh man, I must've spent hundreds of dollars in this series of games. Lots of great memories, specially like mentioned before, beating the older kids 🙂

You guys forgot to mention, X-Men Vs. Street Fighter.....now that was a good game, specially the second part of it. Good old times.
