I'd guess 40-45. I don't workout for endurance at all!

That is all I work out for. I'm big enough and don't see having to push anything over 225 pounds off my chest in the future.
I don't see having to push 80 lbs off my chest 40+ times, so I keep going for size and brute strength 😀

Out of the blue, ~50 straight. I do 3 sets of 20 diamond (close hands) every night to try and help my tris. 5'11", 170lbs, 22yo.

100 proper push-ups is not all that hard. of course i only weigh 135 so...

I watched my H.S. track coach do 1000 push ups and 1000 crunches in a row. 100 of each alternating, he only got 10 1min breaks inbetween each set.
I'm not questioning your honesty, but I have to question your memory. That sounds really truly incredible, in the true definition of the word.

it wasn't my fat assed head coach, it was his new assistant that had just got back from training in russia as a polevaulter. He was just making some extra money before he went back.
that guy was a serious badass. and yes it was, connotatively, incredible. He was about to die by the time he got done, i've never seen someone in so much pain.
i think he made a bet with some of the other coaches for money, but they wouldn't admit it, probably afraid of getting into trouble.

jeez...how long did the whole thing take?

at 2 seconds per pushup/crunch and the breaks, it would have been easily over an hour...

it was somewhere around an 1 1/2 -2 hours, he was going at it through pretty much our whole practice. by the end everyone was just crowded around shouting him on.

Damned Russians 🙂

I'm 24 and I can do 10 guy push-ups. I'm not sure how many chick push-ups I can do. I'm a pvssy. I could probably do more if it didn't hurt my shoulders so much.

If you were asking about sit-ups, it'd be a much higher number! 😉😛

Don't feel like doing it right now. Yesturday at the gym I did 40 after doing three sets of dumbell press. But I agree that Pull-ups are harder... on a good day I can maybe do 20 pull-ups. Use to be able to do 30 a set but I put on 20lbs. Amazing how that effects things.

Yes real pull-ups, and I do them with good form too. The 30 pull-up record was back when I wanted to go into the USMC, so basically I was doing them every day, and when I worked with the recruiters we did lots of sets. I'm about 5'6" and 150lbs right now, so part of it was that I had very little fat weight.

im in the Navy for the last prt i did
8:56 mile and a half
104 push ups
98 sit ups

im 21 5'6 and 140 pounds im training myself for a marathon next month
