How many push ups can you do at one time?

This is for the off topic forum. I know in health and fitness they can do lots of pushups.

You must do them today before you post. Just because you could do 50 reps 2 years ago doesn't mean anything today.

I saw this DVD "Fighting Ali" yesterday and one of his opponents, who said he had been in prison for a while, said he would do 1000 push ups in an hour.

I don't like pushups, so I'm not gonna try :^P

A million years ago I could do 40 good ones, and another 20 bad ones on top of that. That's on my knuckles with good form for the first 40. Arched back, not as deep for the second 20.

Maybe around one or two. I buggered my right shoulder a year or two ago and though it has healed completely and I can do everything else (bench press, should press, curls, pull-ups, etc.) I cannot do push ups anymore. Something about that particular exercise that kills my shoulder.

I can do only one push up at a time.

I tried two before, but I am not agile enough.

And I am too slow on the keyboard too apparently.

I can do about 60-70 if I push myself really hard, but that would rule out a decent 2nd set.

I usually do two sets of 25 with proper form (rib cage .25" from floor to full extension, abs straight), then finish with 3 one arms on each side.

I'm on the 100 consecutive pushups challenge... at this moment in time, I can probably do the 100 abeit ending with pretty crappy form. On perfect form, probably about 80ish. I do 4 sets of 50's at the gym 3 times a week.

Used to do push-ups three times a day not even a year ago. Would do about 40 - 50 (1 set, three times a day) 3/4 times a week. Got lazy and didn't do them for a year.

Actually closed the door to my office yesterday and tried doing some... could barely do 26 before I felt like my insides were going to fall out through my mouth.

Last time I checked I could only do like 10. I will try again when I get home which is soon.

People would look at me weird if I did pushups in the office. :p

I think I'd be lucky to do 20 good ones now. I have back issues so I don't want to try, but I'm tempted.

Low 20s now that I've been doing them semi-regularly for a while.
When I first started a few months ago I was only able to do about 12.
