I find that people only txt msg when they are in situations where they should be doing something else besides sending messages It's true! That's why it's so popular with kids in school.

I myself find it a waste. Just freakin call me already! I can tell you what you need in 10 seconds instead of a 5 minutes back and forth chat.

yeah i would much rather use the phone to talk someone, but lets say someone is in class and you know they cant pick up the phone. You can txt msg them and have them respond without the prof knowing. I do this with my brother all the time. I also have it linked up with my IM screenname so that if somone REALLY needs me they can txt one of my many screenames and have it reach my cell phone.
