How many people here still use dialup?

my parents have dialup, but when i'm at school i have t1 and when i'm at work over the summer i have cable.

so breaks are horrible for me internet wise.

Like here. I *could* get broadband if I wanted it, I suppose... but I would have to do one of the following:

1) Set up a satellite internet connection - $1000 setup + ~$100/month for horrendous service
2) Set up air gateway repeating system... min $1000 per hop + ~$50/month for fairly good quality service

So right now I'm on dialup. I'd rather pay off my car than set up either of those hellacious options.

I live a little ways southeast of Columbus. It's just the nearest "big city" that people recognize, and I'm in town as much as I can.

doesn't have to be rural. wher ei live they have a wireless internet but they limit to 10 down 3 up 0_o at a cheap price of 60/month
