I once caught a guy staring through the window and screwing around with the driver door handle. We stared at each other, he left. I no longer eat at that Chippottle.

You left out the part where you beat the snot out of him for being a bottomfeeding societal leech.

He had tattos and a black shirt that matched some other people I'd seen inside. In short- 5-1 = not good odds. Hence the reson I no longer eat at that Chippottle. I could've taken him 1 v 1 though.

Probably five or six times with varying degrees of damage - the last time it was obvious that my car and I had been stalked for several days. Don't know what it's like now, but 10 years ago if you lived anywhere near the metro Atlanta area, property crimes like that were basically legal.

i had someone jimmy the lock on my car, and then take out my discman and car kit.
then stole my cd wallet which contained 12 burned cds, LOL.

wow, still cant believe they went thru that much trouble for that.

Luckily I haven't had my car broken into yet, and I hope I never do. I do have a decent CD player, but I hope it doesn't attract too much attention...

6 years of auto ownership... window smashed and cd player stolen once (unsecured amplifiers were not touched )

I have had two cars broken into....one in an attepmt to steal the car and one to steal the stereo. My sister has had two break-ins in her driveway.

Also, where do you live? Good/bad neighborhood?
I was in Federal Way, WA when mine happened. Not the best, but not the worst suburb of Seattle.

**Knocks on wood** I've lived in all sorts of neighborhoods and never had my car broken into. But I only have the factory stereo and don't leave anything valuable in there.

columbus ohio. An 88 Ford Ranger, unlocked. the door was a little open, the seat up, and stuff had been rumaged through.
Everything was still there. lol, thats why it was unlocked. nothing worth a crap inside. even less so when i'm driving it.

interestingly a guy in that complex wanted me to sell it to him and I wouldn't so I suspect it was him, but given I had no proof and nothing was gone... meh

I found a guy sleeeping in my car early one morning. He was very friendly and very sorry for the "inconvience." I had parked under our complex and not locked the car. I gave him $5 and sent him on his way. He wasn't right in the noodle.

Never "broken into" - I don't lock it. Thus, I won't be faced with broken windows or scratches or whatever.

And,
Nothing ever stolen from the car. Amherst may be the 2nd safest "city", but my area is too small to even be considered by those studies.
And, for what it's worth, I don't think the Amish are allowed to use CD's, therefore, that halves the eligible population to do anything in this area.

once, very recently (1 month ago) outside movie theater. f*ckers stole my subs & my CD changer from my trunk, shattered my passenger side window. a-holes

i have a pos honda civic too, can't see nething in the trunk from the outside, guess they're good guessers :-(

Just once, a long time ago. Swiped a 2-way radio. Insurance paid for it but then put a rider on my policy saying that they would no longer cover it.

State Farm.

voted yes because they attempted to get to my stereo.

driver's side window seal was pryed up at an angle. looked like they tried to use a screwdriver to pry open my third door, main driver's side door, and third door window. some chipped paint...

was dumb and was playing loud music around town. was in a nice area but it was an apartment complex and my truck was parked away from my window....

3 times
all in the mid-eighties though

although i did have a kid try a few months ago, but he got to meet Buster Brown...
140 pounds of Mastiff/Lab. Bus had him down and contained when I came out.
I gave the kid a choice, make a run for the road and he could beat the Bus there he was free to go, or he could sit there quietly and call 911 on himself. he chose option 2

Bwahahahah, nice

I've had my car broken into via someone smashing my window and stealing my radio and bowling ball. LOL. They couldn't figure out how to open the trunk though even though my car can open the trunk from the DASHBOARD. HAHAHAHA
