Who cares? The fun thing is that not too long after winning these elections, they began throwing Fatah members off rooftops. You don't see that too often in politics, do you.

You people should be afraid of your judgement day... does your Torah teach you that you can do no wrong?

Did the children vote for Hamas?

Cry me a river. And I'm not jewish so the Torah doesn't teach me anything.

I wonder... SInce EVERY israeli citizen has to serve in the IDF, does that mean every Israeli is fair game?

And it'll never cease to amuse me that so many people in the U.S. care so passionately about issues they don't bother to read into.

Including the children?

Everybody at some point has to. Can they just label is a preemptive strike? Sort of like the 67 war ?

Can you hold the people of any democracy accountable for the actions of their government?

They "threw Fatah members off rooftops" in retaliation to Fatah's obscene actions in the West Bank. Mahmoud Abbas jailed all elected Hamas officials in the West Bank, and some members of Fatah (the "Leader's Defenses") began escalating violence towards Hamas, sounds like sore losers in an election to me.

Can you hold the people of Israel accountable for electing warmonger Likud members time and time again?

You can choose to hold the adult citizens of any government accountable for the actions of their government whether it's a democracy or dictatorship.

The citizens of Zimbabwe could have removed Mugabe years ago if they cared enough.

Iraqis could have removed Saddam Hussein if enough were willing to die to do it.

Palestinians tacitly accept Hamas even when they don't openly support it.

I bear some of the collective guilt for Bush killing thousands of Americans and tens or hundreds of thousands of Iraqis even though I voted against him twice.

But isn't this the type of thinking that led to 9/11 ?

And MUGABE? No, they could not have gotten rid of him. Saddam either.

You missed the part where our government in the US pushed Fatah to their coup attempt against Hamas:

No-goodniks and the Palestinian shootout

...

In the immediate aftermath of the Palestinian elections won by Hama last January, Abrams greeted a group of Palestinian businessmen in his White House office with talk of a "hard coup" against the newly elected Hamas government - the violent overthrow of its leadership with arms supplied by the US.

While the businessmen were shocked, Abrams was adamant - the US had to support Fatah with guns, ammunition and training, so that it could fight Hamas for control of the Palestinian government.

While those closest to him now concede that Abrams' words were issued in a moment of frustration, the "hard coup" talk was hardly just talk. Over the past 12 months, the United States has supplied guns, ammunition and training to Palestinian Fatah activists to take on Hamas in the streets of Gaza and the West Bank.

Or killing peacemongers like good old Yitshak Rabin?

???? ???

Any chance you could provide a translation for that? I googled looking to get one but couldn't fnd anything. I did find this very pretty song though:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLCLHZuhMKE&fmt=21

And on that note, here is a song I'm quite fond of, and which suits this conlifct well:

right in two ?

Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father* give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused.

Don't these talking monkeys know that Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys
Where there's one you're bound to divide it right in two.

Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason,
And this is what they choose?

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys.
Give them thumbs, they forge a blade,
And where there's one they're bound to divide it right in two.

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys.
Give them thumbs, they make a club to beat their brother down.
How they've survived so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability
To lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here.

Gotta divide it all right in two.

Fight till they die over sun, over sky,
They fight till they die over sea, over air,
They fight till they die over blood, over love,
They fight till they die over words, polarizing.

Angels on the sideline again,
Benched along with patience and reason.
Angels on the sideline again,
Wondering where this tug of war will end.

Gotta divide it all right in two.

Bill Clinton ended his eulogy at Yitzhak Rabin's funeral with ???? ??? or "Goodbye friend"

By the way ? is pronounced by most Israelis as "kh" when it should be pharyngeal /h/ 😉
