I was born in OK and lived there till 6. We moved because they don't like us sand people there.

I got pulled over there once for going 4 over...the cop searched my car for weed, lol. He was a really nice guy though, so I won't hold that against the state. The scenery, on the other hand...
Depends on what part of the state you are in. Eastern Oklahoma is beautiful. The Western 1/2 of the state....well that is what everyone thinks of when they think of Oklahoma. Come visit the area around Tulsa with the rolling hills, lakes, rivers, etc....or go to the SE part of the state where the mountains are.

Exactly, even if you fly over Oklahoma you can see the distinct difference in the landscape. Interstate 35 is basically the dividing line in the state between the lush green SE quarter of the nation and the desert SW quarter of the nation.

The difference is quite dramatic. The east as described has lots of trees and greenery rolling hills, lakes and some samll mountain ranges. Western Oklahoma is basically featureless with the exception of man-made strutures. There is even a small desert in Oklahoma.

Yep....the difference in the 2 sides of the state are dramatic. It's too bad the only image people seem to have of Oklahoma is that of the Western side of the state. Oh well....their loss.

Currently in Stillwater, Oklahoma, but not born here. Currently attending Oklahoma State University. I would prefer to go to someplace else, but don't want and cant afford to pay rent or live in dorm. School is not bad, just not my first choice. At least I can say I went to the same school as Barry Sanders, one of my childhood idles.

Born and mostly raised in Minnesota (Anoka/my excellent compatriot Rapids). Dad got job at famous boat engine company in Wisconsin that has a subdivision in Stillwater, Oklahoma and he asked to transfer (he hates cold weather).

He believes the type of socks he wears on gameday actually affects how the Sooners play. Not a joke either. Crazy!! :)
