How many of you...

How many of you are considered geeks at work (ie, work in computers) but it stays at work (ie, when you are not working, you are involved in lots of non-geek related activities).

What things do you do outside of work?

I go home and cry silently as I watch really hard bdsm porn and realize that I'll never find a woman into all that kinky shit.

I am considered the geek at my company, which is ridiculous. I just spend the most time on the computer doing non work related things.

I sit away from everyone, and am not monitored by what I do on the PC. I have a very easy, boring job.

Possibly. I like the perks of my company though, and in today's market I don't want to start over just yet.

I'm at home all day working by myself so I can't say but my wife is the only IT person at her 75-employee financial firm... but once she comes home, she won't touch a computer. She knows how to build them and everything though.

I grew up in Florida and now surf in the chilly PNW.

im a software developer... so we're all geeks at work. at home id say i do a 20% geek - 80% nongeek mixture of activities. Namely, i play a lot of computer games, work out at the gym at least 3 nights a week, play guitar, play piano, and go to bars quite a bit with friends.
