How many of you work odd hours?

I work 12-8 on tuesdays and wednesdays, and 11-7 monday, thursday, and friday. I am staying till 9 tonight though.

I love these hours though, I dont have to put up with much traffic and I am always the last to leave the office.

2p-10p every weekday, except when christmas and new years fall on weekdays.

F'n US markets are open on Monday Dec 27th.

I work 6:45AM to about 5:00PM Mon-Fri. Sometimes staying much later if we have probs.

About once every five weeks I have The Evil Cell Phone for a week, i.e. on call.

That translates into 18+ hour workdays if you add it all up, about 6 out of 7 days. :|

Do you get paid for all the extra time?
If not I would quit, but that is just me. I find it unfair for people to not at least get some compensation for time spent over 40 hours in a week.

That's a big negative; no OT. I'm salaried. We take our "comp time" as/when we can. I.E. if it's slow this week and I came in a lot last week, I'll take half a day off or whatever. It all works out in the end...kinda. 😱

The important thing is that I continually reinforce my value to the company. The bosses stay off my ass and life is good.

My schedule sucks... 4pm - 3am Tuesday and Wednesday and 9am - 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. It wreaks total havok on my sleep paterns 🙁

12 - 8 Mon-Fri. I never make time for myself in the morning. By the time I wake it up it's mostly time to head for work. When I come home I don't sleep until 3-4am. Same routine M-F.

I do like how I don't have to compete with traffic when I come home though. Slow ride home, nice and relaxing.

I think Im in the same boat as you, but I like to wake up at 9:00 so I can workout before I got to work.

12 am - 8 am on Wednesday and Thursday nights, and 4 pm - 12 am on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

I'm dropping my new overnights in a couple weeks ago. I was supposed to have been moved over to all day shifts 2 months ago, but we had a bunch of people transfer/quit/get fired, so I had to stick with my split schedule until they hired replacements. hopefully I'll be able to get a couple 8 am - 4 pm shifts too... getting home at 12 am kills me. I end up driving around for 45 minutes looking for a parking space by my apartment and end up parking 5-7 blocks away.
