How many of you use the default power supply in your case?

I find that the default power supplies are usually cheap and with moderate quality. I changed my default Supermicro SP301-RA with a Enermax 451P-VE because the default on seemed not have adequate 5V+3.3V output.

My case came with a 235 watt power supply. It was a good quality one, just not too powerful. It handled my .25 Athlon 550 at 750 or so with no problems. I did buy a 300 watt power supply to replace it though. One of my other cases came with a 250 watt that just exudes cheapness.

I use my default 300W power supply that came with my InWin Q700.
It's a PowerMan FSP300-60GT.

I bought a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 275 in the fall of 98. It's been in a half dozen cases with several different pc's since and has never let me down. Since it's quieter than the 300 watt one that came with my Antec SX830 it's now in that case.

Mine (Elan Vital T-10) came with a prefectly good 250watt power supply that did a great job and was very quiet. I sold it and got an Antec which was crap. Moral of the story, stick with what you got unless it doesn't do what you want, then get an Enermax.

I don't trust Sparkle and think it is overrated. I had problems with 2 Sparkle 300W power supplies, one had wrong 3.3V output, the other failed to boot after cutting and restoring power.

I use the PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 425 ATX, it is fantastic! They use high quality parts to keep the voltages +/- 1%, it comes with a 5 year warranty, which on all my other PS's have died in 3 years or less. A little pricey though.

Used the generic 300w that came in my Enlight 7237 until yesterday. Bought a 330w Enermax, nice PS. All the quirks and instability disappeared from my KT7a/Tbird 1Ghz.

Using the 300watt power supply that came with my enlight 7237 case. No problems whatsoever with it as of yet, and I hope it stays that way! :)

I used a enermax 451 on my InwinQ500n for a few days and went back to the factory 300W, which I think are really good to start because they're TUV rated(the European or Germany equivalent of US's UL rating). The powerhouse enermax are alittle over-kill for my setup so I am saving it for possibly a dual T-bird system this summer/fall. Interesting note, the big enermax has two fans but is quieter than the one fan factory one.
