Doing place and route for my FPGA based project takes 6-10 hours a run, I use one of my athlon MPs doing just that quite often. Anything else (software compilation, games or HDTV) uses up most if not of the remaining resources on the other MP.
 
I was addicted a while ago. Got every machine I could get my hands on running some project or another. Recently, I haven't cared one way or the other.
 
I'm running ROsetta. It appeals to me because they are trying to find cures to real life diseases like Aids and such. I got bored with Seti.
