Are you posting from work? I do, sometimes, on Thursdays. How about you?

Also, could you include your profession/job, and what about it that allows you to post here while you work?

Additionaly, I consider typing messages on AT to be 90% of the actual physical work that I perform on any given day.

Yes. When there are no calls, we browse the web. One of my coworkers is currently playing the flash version of putt putt.

What's a typical day of work like for you? Do you get calls often? Do they typically last 2 minutes? 2 hours?

Why are you worried?

I didn't say I was worried - I said I was frightened. :p I know you were probably joking (I hope so), but the fact that your comment likely rings true for many here, is a scary thought!

Probably about 15-20 calls per 4 hour shift and they last anywhere from 30 seconds to up to 10 minutes or more. I am also one of two in charge of Staff Computer Training so I answer a lot of emails per day. I believe next sememster I will be actually teaching classes to train staff.

I work in support, finding and fixing bugs in the software, also finding bugs in other software (grrrr MS).

I obviously have an net connection, but behind a firewall. So far the company hasn't blocked this site. My manager does complain a bit about me going here, but I use this as my brain-relax time between sessions of mad debugging and coding.

Interesting, thanks for the replies.

Well, for me the only reason I'm posting here right now is because they haven't been asking any questions for the past little bit. I work here through my company, but where I'm working they don't pay me, it's provided as a service free to them. So I'm just like a 'techie guy' that kinda 'hangs around' when they need a hand with anything. I do anything from networking to... well, anything I can figure out really. Most of the time it's basic questions. Nice and lax, and the people are really nice.
