You know who you are. Do you litter? I'm talking about cigarette butts or anything else. I'm on a rant today and I want to know who you are.

do I litter? more like contaminate---I especially enjoy throwing those little plastic thingys that keep a six-pack together out the window or into lakes and ponds.

Sorry. I had a horrendous weekend and just wanted to flame someone who deserved it, as all litterin' b@st@rds do.

I only litter w/ biodegradeable trash. I don't litter toxic stuff, I'll let my city do it for me.

Edit - When you throw your garbage away, it eventually ends up in a landfill, which is littering too. So, we're all littering

I do not litter. SOmething that really pisses me off is when drivers that are smoking throw their cigs out the window. I feel like gathering up an entire box of cig butts from the side of the road into a box. Then, when I see a smoker throw his/her cig butt out the window, I would like to empty the entore box of cig butts into their car.

I can't stand trash. I'm not really an environmentalist, but I can't stand irresponsible people. I wish there was something that could be done to everyone who throws anything out of their car windows. It sickens me to drive through our national parks and see garbage neatly lining all the ditches.

BTW, I'm a reformed litterin' b@st@rd myself. In my younger years. Nuff said.

rbloedow, by "biodegradable trash" I hope that you don't mean paper products. If so, consider yourself a litterin' b@st@rd. I can live with food products, but in my opinion that's about all.

I'm sure that I have by accident at some point or another in my life, but I try very hard not to. I don't smoke, so that eliminates the cigarette butts, and the rest of the stuff I just try to be careful with.

But I always see trash lying around the public parks around here. Yesterday there was a tricycle out in the middle of the lake!

i do not litter. When and if (hardly ever!) i do litter, I feel so dirty that I pick it up and throw it away in the trash can. I don't recycle but for the past several weeks I havent been throwing away my bottles and cans. I have a side garbage bag where I throw in all my gatorade and dr. pepper bottles and I'll give it to my parents (since I know they are recycling freaks )

I can attest to that. The racoons manage to get into my trash cans about once every other week or so.

it's a LAW here that you HAVE to recycle. if you are caught NOT doing it you can get fined. and sometimes jailed. and they randomly check garbage here. the recycling law is about the only think I like about this place.

I would prefer recycling when possible. I'm not an enviromentalist by any meand but I can't stand trash.

But where are the real jerks who throw things out on our roads? I am positively sure that some of them are here and Anandtech. I want some of them to explain to me why they have the right to deface the highway that I have to drive every day. Speak up!!!

I only throw my fruit scraps in the dirt =). I throw all other stuff away.

You would be surprised at what some people throw out the window. After my first highway clean up I was completely disgusted.
