How many of you have tattoos?

I've thought of getting one, a dragon winding down around either my upper arm or lower leg.

But so far I've chickened out. 🙂

i have a couple of gang tats but there just ugly green $hit, would like to get them covered up with something cool like an Incan mural on my back that would be cool ....of course it would hurt like a biatch and cost a whole lot of cash..........😀🙁

I've got a scorpion (a gift from a ex-girlfriend) on my upper left inner thigh, a lightning bolt on my upper inner left arm & a snake that curls arround my right arm then goes across my back with its mouth wide open as if its about to swollow my head.

I have a red sun with a black center on my lower calf. Been wanting to get something on my right arm, just not sure what..

<< its mouth wide open as if its about to swollow my head >>

What would it take to convince it to finish the job. 😉

4 of em here. 🙂

I definitely want more, but I'm picky, and they're not cheap.

Get one, and you'll want more. It's addicting. 😉

Nope not here.

<< The only reason its like that is to cover up bodgie tats, >>

Okay, DABANSHEE'splain yourself, what the hell is a "bodgie tat"? Is that an Aussie term? Or a common tattoo term that us neophytes aren't aware of? Actually I can figure out what a 'tat' is, what's 'bodgie' though?

Don't feel bad about the slap on the back. A week after I had mine, a stupid friend of mine put his fingernail to mine and scratched, exclaiming "scratch and sniff?". After beating him senseless and looking in the mirror, lucky for me, there was no damage.

Okay, this is kinda telling: I have one that's 20 years old. I'd bet that that's probably older than 50% of the people who post here <doh!>.

My next one is either going to be the Star Trek communicator/badge from TNG, or, a rain gauge. Ya'all can speculate on the placemnent of either. 😉

I am too lazy so I am just going to paste what I just typed at another related post.

I have one. I got mine when I was 18 (12 years ago). It is the face of a wolf on my shoulder. I opted for that location in order to keep it obscure. No one knows I have it unless I want them to see it. I forget I have it actually; until I take my shirt off in the summer and someone notices it.

My recommendation is simple. Make sure it is something you are passionate about. If it is more like "body art" then it will likely remain appreciated. If you go with something stupid like the helmet of your favorite football team then you definitely will regret it. There are too many "spur of the moment" tattoos that people later regret as well. Don't let someone else be your motivation. Do it only if YOU really want it. Take your time, think it over and put it in a smart location. Make sure it is something you won't regret later and have to spend 4x,5x,10x? the amount to have removed. I heard the laser removal is expensive and very painful. Speaking of pain. Getting a tattoo is like slowly dragging a razor blade through your skin. It is not without pain. Some areas hurt more than others depending on the density of the nerve endings and your pain tolerance. My tattoo is about 3 inches by 3inches and it took about an hour and a half because of the fine detail. So, do you think you can drag that razor blade through your skin for an hour? Once you start it's all go from there on.

Yes, you do bleed. Get a knowledgable and respected artist so you don't have to worry about infection, HIV, and other viruses too Ok?

gUEv FYI It's spelled Percocet - which is oxycodone and acetaminophen in combination at various strengths. 5/325mg is the most common. It is a class 2 highly controlled narcotic pain reliever. Without a prescription it is felony to have in your posession. Just thought I'd share that.

Across my back. A sort of Celtic black tattoo, my own design with a ram's head in the middle (cause I'm an Aries). And it's F'ing BADASS.

The next tattoo, when I get around to creating a design I like, is going to be a band around my arm (not sure which arm yet either)

A Yin Yang on my left shoulder. The dark half is the night sky with the moon, and the light half is the sea and a black whale.😎
