How many of you have played Yu Suzuki's epic game series, Shenmue?

I'm a huge fan of the series and can't wait for an announcement regarding Shenmue III, if there will ever be one Too bad Shenmue II sold like crap here in the states. CAN YA HEAR ME XBOX OWNERS?!! BUY SHENMUE II!!

So anyways, how many of you have played the original one on Dreamcast(I have 3 Dreamcasts mwa haha ha!) or the more recent Shenmue II on Xbox or the PAL DC version? What do you think of it?

I think it's an awesome games series and one of the most underrated games of all time. It is so ahead of it's time that I believe that people 10 years from now will look back at it and say "Wow, what a completely awesome and underappreciated game series! Shenmue was truly a epic game that was too ambitous for it's time."

And then I shall weep.

It was pretty amazing. I have introduced Shenmue to my gf. When we finish we will turn our attention to Shenmue II which I bought for DC immediately after finishing the first one.

Personally, I like that it focuses on exploration and talking to people rather than fighting boss after boss after boss.

Yes, I have Shenmue for DC, and Shenmue II for XBOX and thought both were great.

I was at sega test for shenmue I, we ran to the tester's cube when it first came in. We thought it was going to save the company!
