I have a Panny 42" EDTV (852 X 480), which is neither HD nor Standard.

I have an Infocus projector with 100" screen that is EDTV. Not quite HD but good enough for me right now.

SDTV 25" bubble tube for me. No, I don't live with my parents, and I'm not a poor college student. I AM saving up for a down payment on a house.

Plus, I don't believe that any of the current HD technologies are mature yet. Too many problems with each of them, and the whole MPAA copy protection crap is making me leery of buying now. For me, a TV should last at least 10 years, and shouldn't be obsoleted by the stroke of a well-lobbied politician's pen. Add the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD war into the mix, and there's no way I'm buying a new TV right now.

27" Panasonic Tau from like 4 years ago. Still works great, and no reason to upgrade yet. Perhaps when I get back from my next deployment and have all that deployment cash just sitting there.

Sony Wega 27" Flat Screen

Not an HDTV, I will not upgrade to an HDTV until my Sony:heart: breaks and Comcast starts having HDTV channels in my area.
My KV-36FS120 is just going to have to do until it dies as well. Anamorphic widescreen image is about the same as a 34" widescreen TV, and perfect for the single DVD I'll view once per week. There's no HDTV content for the cable TV programs I watch anyway, and I'll be damned if I watch stupid "Housewives" or whatever just because it happens to be in HD.

Wow, I'm impressed. I wouldn't have thought that the majority already have HDTV.

<-- Vizio P42HDTV (or something like that)

[edit] On another note:
I'm definitely pleased with the HD channels selection Comcast has in the Denver area. Some stunningly beautiful programming on inHD, inHD2, DiscoveryHD and one other educational-ish channel. Watched Super Speedway on inHD2 recently...it was badass.

I'm a student and we only have standard TV. I don't even know when we'll make the change. My wife's parents just got one and man! it's quite the picture. Maybe I'll get one as a graduation present😀
