How many of you guys have modded xboxs or ps2s?

The XBOX is a good receiver and can be used as such. Honestly, if you know what your doing the MS boxes are great investments for a modder, soooo much potential for so cheap. You can turn an XBOX into a full fledged PC that also plays XBOX games and any burned media. I used the FTP last night to put Prison Break on my XBOX in the living room instead of watching it in my bedroom.

modded systems ftw

I can't live without an XBMC on each TV at my house.

For $70 how can you say no?

Whoa. What skin is that?

That's MC360. If you have a fairly new version of XBMC (say, post June-July) you can get it.

Awesome. Just loaded it up on my Xbox. Still trying to decide whether I want to keep MC360 over Project Mayhem III.

Chipped PS1 and softmodded Xbox that boots straight to XBMC.

Link to instructions? Will I be able to stream video from my HTPC to my Xbox?

search for:
XBOX Krayzie Ndure SOFTMOD Pack

You'll need:
Splinter Cell or 007 or MechAssult
and
Proaction replay or usb memory stick + usb to xbox converter

Replaced my aging HTPC w/ an xbox that boots to XBMC. Well worth it! Too bad I don't have a remote to turn the thing on from across the room though (maybe i'll fashion a large pointing device out of chopsticks and/or straws)

yeah, remote power is the only downfall of XBMC!!! someone get to work on that 🙂

Modded xbox w/ xenium ICE. When I finished modding it, I thought it wasn't going to work (my soldering skills suck). It worked and still works like a charm.

For those that use them, what are some of the recommended wireless adapters for the Xbox?

Most people I've talked to have the Linksys game adapter.

I have a modded xbox, but i barely use it anymore... i think i need to sell it.

I have been out of the scene for a year or so. Whats the deal with 360 modding? I didnt think it would be safe because of all the revisions Microsoft makes you install when you update or play a game. Any word?

Have both modded xbox and ps2. I haven't played them in so long, I might even sell it.

The problem is that you are expecting to "play" it, use it as your MP3/Video server in the den!
