I'm 24 and i never gone to a casino yet, so i was thinking of going to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, just for one afternoon.

Is it a lot of fun?

went 3 times last week.

I dont have aproblem, I was just in Montreal on business and had nothing else to do. Ended up $450

me me me!

vegas > indian casino because you can just wander around to all of them. also, drinking on the street / no open container laws is very high up on my list of cool shlt.

i have been to foxwoods though. it was a really nice place. one of the game rooms i was in had big skylights - very unusual for a casino to have natural lighting! just dont bring any money you cant afford to lose! foxwoods also has a big poker room, i didnt hvae time to check it out tho.

I like casinos.

Last time, I went to foxwoods...sat at a low limit table with a hundred dollar bill, flirted with girl next to me for hours, ended up ~130 dollars, then I threw a little into roulette, heard jokes and stories from all sorts of interesting people. It was fun. Plus the no smoking at the poker tables...genius!!! My recommendation, only bring what you expect to lose, and find tables that look like they have interesting/fun people.

It was fun.

I gambled in a casino when I was 17 once... it was fun for a while, but I got tired of it.

Did you get tired of it right before or after you got arrested? TIC

I've been in casino's in Reno, Atlantic City and Biloxi. They are fun, but I never gamble much ($20 -$30).

Once the money is gone, I stop. Usually there are a lot of other things to do beside gambling, shows, beach, fishing, eating, etc.

Well i'm in Long island NY, so i could go to Atlantic City, or just take a ferrie to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun for 35 dollars round trip with some free coupons, i guess for food or games i don't know.

But if i go yes i would only take like 30-50 bucks to play with, maybe less and just play slots. You only get like 5 to 6 hours to play because then you have to take the ferrie back.

I've been to them several times but mostly to eat at the buffets. I've gone with my wife way back when but I think it's boring as hell and I barely gambled anything. To me gambling is nothing more than throwing my money away. Plus, I don't enjoy the stench of cigarette and cigar smoke not to mention the intolerable noise of the machines and patrons.

been in casinos all around the world..
Vegas.. Atlantic City... Monaco... San Juan Puerto Rico (walked in with 5 bucks to spend walked out with 600 bucks) and many others including several cruise ships casinos...
best part is free booze at the tables...
play lowest anty games you can find and pound free booze as fast as you cna get the waitress to come back LOL

Lol... hey, I went with my friend to Atlantic City and I got tired of playing the crappy games at the arcade, so I just went over to the slots and wasted $20. My friend told just told me to act like you didn't know about the rule if I got caught, they'll just tell you not to play again. Oh and I also wore sunglasses and a baseball cap... it was fun.
Now if I actually hit the jackpot in the slots.... 😉

I live 10 miles away from one of the largest Indian run Casinos in the midwest. I went there once lost 20 bucks in 10 minutes on the slots. Oh I forgot to add that everyone is chain smoking in there which makes it very difficult to breathe.

That was enough for me 😉

If you go in thinking you are going to win the big jackpot or spend beyond your means than a casino is not the place to be.
If you want to have some fun, maybe get on a lucky streak and make some money, then casinos are alright. I play enough in AC that I can usually get a little comp and the buffets at the casinos are the only buffets that I will ever go to. The casinos are a lot of fun to burn off a little steam and I can?t ever remember having a bad time whether or not I was up money.

I did. I went this past winter with a friend who turned 21. I used $1 at a single pull of a slot machine and won $5. I got up and was done and haven't ever gambled before or since. 🙂

Casinos are fun as long as you don't get carried away with the gambling.....

I love going to AC, it a completely different atmosphere.

I don't see anything fun about a casino. Watching old people with oxygen tanks lose their house and wheel chair doesn't lift my spirtits.
