I love building computers! I hopefully always will. The customer I sold a computer to who calls me and says that his computer is running slower than dog crap annoys me. Why can't people install AV software?

Yes, I get tired of it. Like others have mentioned, I used to get into the tweaking/fixing thing, but now I just want it to work. I'm tired of fiddling for 3 hours to get 5 more FPS in Unreal Tournament. I'm tired of messing around with BIOS settings to stop my computer from locking up in 3D games. I'm tired of playing the driver of the week game with nVidia and now ATI. I am fully capable of tweaking and troubleshooting my own machines, I just get annoyed doing it lately.

When I'm working on someone else's machine, I have NO patience for things not working. I just want it to work, and get it done and over with quickly.

But what if you want a better video card?
But what if you want a better sound card?
But what if you want to play REAL games?
But what if you want...

But what if they didn't? Such people do exist. The wierdos who consider computers to be nothing more than tools, and aren't overly concerned with performance(actually, you can say this about most typical users in the IT enviroments that use nothing but PCs too). It's not really a penis extension after all...

If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, well, I must be insane when I try to network things. :)

Hardware was and probably always be my 1st love (nothing excites me more than a nicely laid out new motherboard !) however I'm getting into networking and really getting into app's to move pretty much totally over to network design, implementation and support, there's more money ,less overhead and minimal rma's to worry about.I hope at some point to build for my own pleasure only :)
