I;ve beat maybe %15 of the games i have, the rest i've played maybed a few hours each.

My problem is I can't focus on the games like I used to because getting older. Maybe my attention span is less, i enjoy the games, just get tired of playing after a hour or so.

I bought Battlefield 3 at full price back in January 2013. Never removed it from its original case. Just collecting dust now. Never played a day of the the game. Never will as well.

One of the reasons I have gravitated from my console to PC, STEAM sales. While I can get games on EBAY/half.com/gamefly sales for the consoles they cant touch Steam prices. People might talk about the "extra" i pay for a PC but when you take the money saved on maybe 10 games, its not long before the price match's. I have tried the "must finish one to buy one" approach, needless to say it hasn't worked, i have over 1000 games in my steam library, i don't even want to discuss my console list (360 i have over 300) ya.. i buy and play very few.. but tell myself someday!

You sir are the GOAT of gaming! 1000 games o_O

Didn't catch this until it was quoted, but . . .

DAYUM!

Now I feel a lot better about my own backlog, which by comparison hardly exists.

Even if I never get to play a lot of what I buy, I like supporting the industry, and I keep telling myself that my son will be interested in my library someday. Someday...

I have nearly a thousand games between all the sites, and I've played maybe 20% of them. It feels like a sickness sometimes, buying games on sale that I'll probably never play. Luckily the summer sale had been lackluster so far, but I did buy the Metro Redux games, and I doubt I'll pay them either.

After watching the Bethesda dog and robotic pony show, I clearly have to find time to play Dishonored.

I have quite a few games, both downloaded and boxed, that I've hardly ever played (less than an hour).

Lately though, I've been on a kick, playing some old 2004-2006 era games, namely Psychonauts (half-way finished) and Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (about 2 hours in). Played through the first level of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory as well this morning. Late-life Xbox/PC games were pretty damn good, making the most of easy porting (though Stranger's Wrath didn't come to PC until 2010). It was really a good era, as PC developers were making great graphical strides that leveraged the popularity of the Xbox as a base for building very good games, with PC versions that played just as well, but benefited from then-modern CPUs and graphics cards.

yes, even I know its sad. Being an adult with a ok income and plenty of free time and questionable money sense is not a good thing. I am old enough there are no longer kids in my house, I keep up on my home by doing 20-60 minutes each day so nothing builds up. I am not a TV person ( GOT, and sometimes XBMC sessions where I will watch a complete series in a few nights). I do have other hobbies (rc planes/cars, i have to many of those too!) and am a car nut (have over 30, not all in running condition i must admit) with several I enjoy driving, Vette, Crossfire, a newer Convertible, etc.. Also have a couple of Bikes (big ones) and a scooter (which gets drove way more then a big stuff, not sure why, but its just fun to zip around town on it). And a couple Snowmobiles and 2 ATV's. I also am just finishing a 4 stall garage in my back yard (summer project).

Buying to many games to play, yes for sure, and Summer, i don't feel like sitting inside to play them even if they are good. So far i have bought 8 games on Steam Summer Sale. I am pretty sure about 75% of my games were cheap.. I picked up 5 games under $5 of that 8 (Blackgaurds II etc, some I would never have bought at full price, but will maybe take a look at for $5). My problems now are like this (yesterday and day before I had all but 9 of the games listed (main games, not the bottom stuff).. and of that 9 where stuff like New games with no real major discount, or games i have no interest in (100% multiplayer or early access (been burned bad on those, no more). SO now when Stam has a sale, I most likely have it from a previous one, or if its under $5 i might get it.. in the end, maybe $100-200 max every year on summer sale, that's like 3 new releases, which i just wait 5 months and get for 1/3 the price.

My PC library goes back to the mid 80s. I would buy like 3-5 games a week. Back then PC games were hit or miss even running on PCs. there were so many clones and I was buying so many games that I could not possibly finish them all let alone even running half of them. Back in those days there was pretty much no copy protection and store returns were easy as many PC clones couldnt run a game. I ended up copying and returning most of them. I never got around to trying to play these copied games. Forward to the early-late 90s where games were much better and we had internet for patches and such. Still bought tons of games. Many are still shrink wrapped to this day. Forward to consoles of early 2k. Bought a PS2 toward its end of life and bought dozens, if not hundreds, of PS2 games at huge discounts. Many are still shrink wrapped. When the xbox 360 came out I slowed down my game purchasing. Played the heck out of my 360 so i didnt waste too much money on it. But, now i am back into PC gaming and all those games I bought years or decades ago are available on steam, GOG or origin and I have, in the last few months, been rebuying all these freaking games again! HELP ME!!!!!

Same, I just spend a few hundred so far on both GOG, Amazon, Steam, and GameAgent and I don't think I'll touch even 10% of all the games I bought including Metro 2033/Last Light Redux bundle and I feel bad after spending money but I would also feel bad if I didn't spend so it a lose lose situation here.

I have a huge backlog of steam games. Simply, I cant download them as I'm limited to 30 gigs a month of data.
