your senior prom/ball?

mine is next week, and i am not going, for a few reasons, one being that the girl i was going to go with has a prior engagement.

people keep telling me, "oh you should go" and "you'll remember it forever." i'm here to ask, how many of you actually remember your senior or junior prom/ball?
 
mine was only a year ago but. it sucks. i could have had more fun with my friends on any weekend night

Well, I just had my "seinor" prom (didn't go of course). I am only a junior, but not going to be in highschool next year, so meh.

same here, was forced into going as a junior and even with scoring in the end it's still nothing special, me and my friends felt like dueshes having to dance and not being able to converse over the loud, corny DJ music. Be happy you saved yourself money, besides if you can't go with the one you want to then don't even bother anyway.
 
My senior prom won't be till 2008, so I have no view on the issue, though I'd think many do feel it a memorable or significant event. Probably better to go than waste another night on here 😛
 
I remember it but it was not that big a deal to me then and even less now. If you have anything interesting to do in life I think it will be a rather distant memory, and you certainly won't suffer with regret if you decide to skip it.
 
I went to all the smaller dances, but not my prom. 2 different girls asked me to go with them and I didn't want to break either one's heart, so I had work schedule me for that night ;-). Don't regret it at all. It's funny how in high school it's the world, and then you get out and could care less.
 
when i was a sophomore, i went to the jr prom and it wasnt that great...kinda a waste of money...so i didnt end up goin to either of mine
 
I got asked by one of the hottest girls in school, I thought she was joking so I turned her down. Found out on the first day of finals that she was serious. I don't want to talk about the finals 🙁

I don't regret not going, I regret being paranoid about being asked to go. I have since come to peace with my decision.
