Working the normal 8 am - 5 pm but I hope we get to go early. I don't really have much work that I can do right now as it is.

@work now. (lunch break)
We'll likely get out a little bit early, assuming our orders are all on schedule.
Then no work tomorrow.

Normal day for me :( Why is New Years Day considered a holiday but New Years Eve isn't? I'd much prefer to have today off.

I'm here, but I'll be out early.

I had to stay full-shift while everyone else left on Christmas Eve, so it goes back the other way today.

I was in this lab until about 12:30 last night (got onsite at 10am), got home around 1:30 this morning, and I'm back again this morning. Got here at about 9:30 but I hope to be out of there by noon, if things go as the should. Luckily they have free wi-fi while I wait for the tests to finish.

Nope...once again, I'm off for my birthday...(although, I'm sure it's NOT with pay.)

In 56 years, I've never gone to school on my b-day and at the most, I've worked this day perhaps 3-4 times..and USUALLY got paid overtime/double time for working my b-day. :p

Sounds like someone in upper management today.

I had to leave around that time, too. 2:00 was the official let-out time, but I was working on something that's fairly behind schedule - something new I wanted to let burn in over the break.

I like having a job that's enjoyable enough where "We're going home early today!" elicits a feeling of, "Dammit, not again, I'm busy with this." :)
