I know am one. No matter how hard I try I always end up screwing up my sleep cycle and end up staying awake up untill the wee hours of the night/morning.

P.S. Oh yeah what do you think the OS choice is for insomniacs ?

theres not enough time in 24 hours! i wouldnt say i'm an insomniac, i just have a wierd schedule.

wake up ~2PM, take g/f to work, come home, if i work, then go to work at 4 or 5, come home, sit on computer till g/f gets home (if i am off that day, sit on computer entire day).

let g/f on to play diablo II, go watch jay leno, conan, fox news or some combination of those, and sometimes some techtv. g/f goes to bed, i get back on computer, stay on till 5-6 AM (hey its 6:52 right now...;)), go to bed. get up again at 2PM and repeat!

its not that i cant fall asleep, i just enjoy being awake so i put it off :p

Back in my days in graduate school in college - a long time ago - I was doing research so I worked by myself for 8+ hours a day. I got into the mode of a 28 hour days with 10 hours of sleep: one day I' go to bed at 1am and wake up at 11am, the next I'd go sleep at 5am and get up at 3pm. When I got to the point that I'd be way out of whack (go to bed at 1pm or so), I'd set the alarm that day and wake myself up really early and shift the whole thing back to going to sleep at 9pm and sleeping until 7am. And it would start over again. I did this for months and it worked really well (altough the "shift" days were not very productive, and it drove both my prof and my then girlfriend (now wife) crazy).

Definitely a night owl.

Really depends for me. When I have a choice as to when I can sleep (aka weekends) then I usually stay up till about 3am and then get up somewhere between 10-12 (occasionally 1 or 2 but I've been trying to quit that). During the week I get to bed at either 12:30 or 1:30 (always watch Jay Leno, sometimes I stay up for Conan :)). Then get up at 8am. That's not quite a "normal" cycle, but I guess it's kinda close.

When I don't have to go to work the next day, I might go on all the way until morning (sunrise), then go to bed. But on weekdays I usually sleep before 3 a.m. But back in my college days I was basically a vampire - asleep by day and active by night. :D
