<< I wasn't born yet.

But my parents did take me to see Empire Strikes Back. I was like 4 months old.🙂
>>

<----crying because he feels so terribly old.

I was 10 the year Star Wars was released. I saw it at Northridge Mall with some friends while my Mom was shopping.

I also saw the other two at Northridge Mall when they were released.

Ah... I saw it when it came out origionally, that and I saw all the other star wars when they were in the theaters... and most of the star trek movies too.

Funny thing is that my father is a big fan too... He has cut out of work to go to show openings with me... (consequently that does mean I cut classes at the time...

I was seven with Star Wars came out. Stood in line for over an hour with my Dad to see it the first time. Ended up seeing in 15 times in the theater back then.

Oh My God that movie is 3 years older than me... My Mom would have been like a sophmore in high school... Does that make it old enough to be considered a classic?

Never saw any of them in the theaters when they were originally released. I wasn't born yet for Star Wars, and my parents were nice enough to other people to not take me as a baby into a theater with a movie playing that wasn't a kids movie.

I saw Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi special editions in the theater though. I was never a big fan of the first one so I didn't bother. I got a cool Luke as a Jedi action figure when I went to see Return of the Jedi on opening night. I still got it in the original package too. Maybe it's worth something.

I saw it on opening night, I had just finished 6th grade and we saw it at the UA 150 in Seattle.

When TPM came out I saw it at a 4am showing and the Wife and I took our son with us who was only 6 weeks old. only thing was he couldn't stay awake for some reason, must not of been enough action. 🙂

no, but I saw the Special Editions on opening day (all 3 movies) and the Episode 1 on opening day as well.

I was borned in 1980, so I may have been to see one of the originals in the theaters, but I wouldn't remember it 🙁

I was only almost 2 when it came out, so I don't think I saw it. Who knows, maybe my parents took me to it, and I don't remember. I'll have to ask if they did. I do however, remember seeing The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983) in the theaters.

I saw it when it was re-released, was it 1981 or 1982? All the kids in my neighbourhood were excited about it. It was a bad, old theater as well...

I did. We came in at the very last part of the movie and I remember being able to hardly stay standing up during the space fight scenes. At that time, it was the most incredible movie.

I saw the original Star Wars in theaters. It kind of snuck up on all of us. No one really knew about this movie until it came out and then it spread like wildfire. I remember the huge lines when my family went out to see it. It felt like a major event in my life. Good grief, I feel old.... 🙂

yup, i remember seeing star wars in the theater. it was summer of 1977 and i was about to turn 6. i remember lots of people dressed like the movie characters 🙂

<< well then how about the movie poster??? >>

I do. it's starting to brown at the edges becuase of age. but I do have the poster from starwars and Empire strikes back.

I was there!!!!!!! I was 9 and went with my family at the Menlo Park Duplex Theater in NJ! I was so pumped. I remember going home that night and dreaming about Princess Leia. 😀

I collected the TOPS cards, action figures, vehicles, everything!!!!!!

Best thing about my childhood was getting caught up in that fantasy world.
