1950 or so. I've personally owned about 500 cds in my life, and I own about 20 right now. The rest have all been stolen in 3 different incidents. I'm bitter, I download now.

About 15 Gigs.
6 Gigs on my home machine, about 2-3 at work, and 10-12 CDs full. don't feel like counting them.

About 2000, 1500 of which are on my neighbour's computer. He lets me use his DSL, I have 56k. I just need to burn and transfer them someday. I have the original (CD, LP, single, Cassette, 8-track) for all of those. I just prefer to download instead of making my own mp3s. I may do so one day for my very obscure stuff. I do find that many people record them too loud and, thus, distorted. :(

I am sharing only one incomplete copy of Tip Toe Through The Tulips. ;)

I have almost 10,000 mp3's.

BTW, I have been an on and off member of Columbia House and BMG for almost 8 years. I get the 15 cd's, cancel, and start over. So I have a very large cd collection (over 500). I have spent a LOAD on CDs....

That doesn't justify having the other mp3's....

Definitely check out the link in my sig regarding CD-quality mp3's if you haven't already. Should you decide to ever convert your cd collection to mp3, that page has some AWESOME info which will tell you exactly how to get archival quality mp3's in a smaller file than a 192kbps mp3. Very good reading.
