Why are you making such dubious assumptions? I rip my original CDs to a lossy format like MP3/MPC so I have instant access to them on my PC. Just because an .mp3 exists on a drive doesn't mean it's illegitimate. >> >>




I'm not saying that everyones Mps3's are not legit but you would have to agree that with some of the amounts that these people posted,you could pretty well figure that they don't have all those songs in there original collection.

I don't have a problem with how many mp3's people have,they could have 50 gigs for all i care. All I was saying is that this would have been locked and he would have been flamed if the topic was copyrighted software and not music,thats all.

I've been "collecting" since they came out with MP3 way back in the day... Prolly in the thousands by now... I'm still amazed that my 5 year old TDK CDRs still work! They have my U2 album complilations so I play them to death...

I have at least 25+ CDs worth and a few gigs on my HD right now... that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 16Gigs
