I'm not going to move this because I don't see anything wrong with asking Off Topic how many miles they have on their cars. The posters that respond here are different than the ones that will respond in the Garage.

12000 - When I hit 17000 miles, it will be the most driven car I've ever owned (I've never kept a car longer than 11,000 miles.)

So far, 1 rear-end collision and a separate repaint / dent removal due to auto-shippers banging it up. Off to a good start...

New cars are collision bait for uninsured, unlicensed motorists :(
5k on mine. Two weeks into ownership I noticed a gash on the bumper looks like somebody rammed it with a shopping cart. Since then it's had more scratches including a bicycle handle scratching the door. And then my other car with 30k somebody dinged/dented the door in a parking lot. This kind of damage never happened to any of the my older cars even with years of use. It's like people are attracted to new cars and destroy the paint.

80,000 on the '06 IS250

My wife and I are original owners of both cars.

*sigh*.

This is why I was against the forums being split off in the first place. It separates us. It was interesting seeing people from OT comment on how many miles their cars have.

This "OMG WRONG FORUM" nonsense is like no-tolerance policies. It takes the common sense out of forum moderation. What's wrong with asking Off Topic how many miles their cars have on them? That has NOTHING to do with The Garage.

Those people should have their hands cut off.
