Seems a bit high. German cars are notoriously difficult and expensive to maintain after warranty, especially with high mileage. I would check in to some other cars.

AFT. Might as well look for a cheap Toyota or Honda in that mileage range that'll last you another 100K miles easy.

I would definately make sure that it had the timing belt and water pump changed before I even considered it. And mine has been a b!tch lately with maintence (75k miles).

Huh? My engine died in my german car with high mileage, so I bought a used one for $300, installed it in two hours and have been driving on it for a year and a half.

I may have a twisted way of thinking about this but...

I figure if a car was good enough to reach high milage (+70,000), was regularly maintained and still runs well it will probably last a good long time.

Hell, you know it's not a lemon.

Who knows, I may be wrong...

After 2000 many automakers have really dropped their quality. Honda and VW are two of them. I wont trust a it over 100k if stick maybe 125k
