How many miles have you put...

How many miles have you put on a car without any major repairs?
As major repairs, I mean engine, transmission, or other non-maintenance type service.

(Clutches are consider normal wear items)

Here is my list.

1992 Ford Escort GT ? 160,000
1988 Mercedes Benz 300TE ? 265,000 (starting to leak some oil)
1987 Mercury Sable ? 180,000

The reason behind this post is my Escort just rolled 160,000 miles and wondering how many other here had trouble free high mileage cars or trucks.

Since I bought my Blazer two months ago, I've put 3,000 miles on it.

Lets see, I bought mine at 128k, did the alternator at 130 or so, 136k on it now.

I've never had any big problems with my truck, though I've only put around 30,000 miles on it in the last 3 years.... 14,000 in the last 9 months.

98K on a Honda Civic when a bearing went out on the distributor shaft.

Yes I do, about 600 miles a week sometimes more.

BTW, I don't own the Sable any more.

Uh, in 132,000 miles, the bearings in the distributor crapped out, the coil died and the alternator failed. Total cost of repairs: <$500.
