Wait until gas hits $3 per gallon. You'll see a major resurgence. :laugh:

I'm still going to build that hugely geared out four-wheeled pedal pusher. Someday. :D

They have some 2 & 4 person 4-wheel bikes out there. We rented one down at metrozoo when we went back in January. Worked pretty well, sorta fun.

Pics, site link, specs? This could be an excellent base point if not exactly what I'm looking for. :D

Any interest in selling those wheels? I'm putting together a TT bike for this season.

I don't want to part with those--I used to kill wheelsets right and left before I got those. (Really, I'm not a particularly violent rider and I have a decent truing stand, but I've just had bad luck with wheelsets.)

I think they're a little heavy for a TT bike myself--and they're clinchers, not sew-ups. I've got one or more of those wheels with the four flat strips on each side, though, and those might be lighter. (I'm pretty sure they're clinchers, too.)

Spinergy Rev-X wheels. Are those potentially on the market? The wheels are the last thing I need for the TT bike (I raided the Performance outlet in Chapel Hill last weekend).

when i do weekend rides of 30 miles (more or less non-stop/slow-down) i avg 18-19mph

I don't bike daily, and I don't take speeds, as I am an XC mountain biker... but I'll let you know how many K's I've ridden when the summer is over :p

Well, my street bike has got about 140 miles on it this year. My mountain bike doesn't have a computer on it, but it might be half as far as my street bike... so let's say 70 miles. That's a total of 210 miles in about 90 days so far this year. So, during the winter, I seem to average about 2.3 miles/day. It'll be more during the summer.

I usually average about 15mph on the street bike.

I'll be getting a ton of miles in per week as soon as Daylight Savings kicks in. Commute + weeknight rides + racing/training on the weekends should = 300+ per week.

10-20X5 nights a week, going all out no breaks, hill intensity (recumbent NordicTrack). As long as the heartrate is over 155, I'm happy.

According to most of the rednecks in GA; a bike is the preferred transportation of gay communist tree-huggers. :p

depends, sometimes I slap on the road tyres and go for 10+ mile rides, others I put the all terrains on and go for 5+ mile offroad hacks.
Fooking great stuff.

As for speed: offroad it's 2->25mph, onroad 10 -> 35mph.

Fastest speed ever is 50+ mph, but I was holding onto my mate's motorbike so I guess it's cheating...

about 8 miles and 15-20 miles per hour depending on how many traffic lights work with me. Does anybody have good advice on learning to trackstand? I feel like such a pussy when I make a series of near stops followed by creeps forward but still end up stepping down before the light changes.
