How many microsoft points can you add to your account per day?

I found a great deal and am about to pickup 3 4,000 microsoft point cards. Can I add all 3 to my account at once? Or is there a daily limit?

my guess would be infinity.

i mean thats basically saying 'what is the limit of money microsoft will take from you daily?'

i really doubt they have a limit of how much money they want of yours 🙂

MS will only take one 4,000 point card per person.

You can send the other two cards to the following address:

😉

edit: grrr TimeWarp. OP below.

Well I found this

http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/supp...accountfaqs.htm#Points

Q:Is there a maximum number of Points that I can have in my balance?

A: Yes, there is a limit. When you reach that limit, you will be notified that you've reached the maximum number.

Q:Is there a limit to how many Points I can purchase in a day?

A: There is not a per-day limit, but there is a limit per transaction. You'll be notified if you reach this limit.

Q:Is there a limit to how many Points I can redeem in a day?

A: Yes.If you reach this limit, you'll be notified, and you'll have to wait until the next day to redeem more Points.

So I am just wondering what the numbers are?

I've never heard of anyone reaching the limit so my guess would be more than 12,000 MS pesos. Especially given how many of the MS points cards have gone on sale in the past.

Ok good deal. I ended up picking up (4) 4,000 point cards for $75. Got 2 redeemed so far waiting to get the other 2 in my email to redeem them.

Well looks like I did it. Went to add the 3rd 4,000 point card and got:

Cannot add points. You have reached your daily purchase limit.

Here

The way you have to go about paying for it is very weird though. He doesn't have paypal and requested a Greendot giftcard be purchased for the amount of cards you buy from him and then email him the number on the back of the card.

I bought 3 4,000 point cards and instead of the 13 month card requested another 4,000 point card. He also has you call his phone to confirm you won't scam him. All my codes worked, just gotta wait till tomorrow to redeem the other two.

Just email him and tell him you were referred to him by Leglez and he should set you right up.

Yeah I know, but he sent me all the codes before I paid. And I am not paying until I get the rest of the codes in my account tomorrow morning. Everything went through perfect so far.

I don't think you can really steal microsoft points. They have to be scanned at a register before they are activated.

About 2 years ago a local store closed in my area and was selling 4,000 point cards for $30 and I bought a bunch and resold them on AT and Ebay for around $40.

ok, you know those are stolen, right?

How can they be stolen? You have to scan them at a register before they can be activated.

You'd have to ask the seller how he stole them. 😉 That auction screams "stolen goods."

- Selling for half price; stores don't make much profit on those cards
- Willingness to give you the cards before you pay
- He apparently has a good quantity of these things
- He's clearly trying to complete the auction outside of eBay
- Brand new account, obviously created just to sell these cards
And the biggest clue of all
- The convoluted payment method that leaves no trail to him.

On their own those things could all be explained away, but taken together, and especially including the payment method, it reeks of stolen goods.

There are people that have figured out how to "make up" the codes for the cards. They don't have to be activated at the register because some cards come in blister packs that have a pull-off tab. Likely that these codes are out there, floating around, waiting to be redeemed. The bigger question is "Will MS revoke any content bought using these points, or lock an account tied to them?"

Eh, if we don't buy them, somebody else will. 😉

I personally think it would be hilarious to have someone scam the shit out of this guy, considering the account will probably be shut down in a couple weeks anyway.

He lists Paypal as a payment option in the auction.

That's because you can search by who accepts paypal. I'm certain the terms change the second it's away from ebay.

That's a major PITA for the buyer. Regardless of how legit it is, it's enough to make me buy from someone else.
