I have 1GB in my PC and 512 in my laptop. I can notice a difference when working between the two systems.
 
I'm planning on installing 2gb when I upgrade in a few months.

Im waiting for CS Source and to see if driver updates will fix some of the sluggishness with ATI cards and Doom 3 before I upgrade though. Not sure if Im going to go A64 or just get one of those notebook XP processors and try overclocking the bejeezus out of it.
 
I am running 3x512 DDR 3200 on this machine.

I have 2x512 DDR 2700 in my spare machine and 1x512&1x256 in my laptop.

Once the price goes down a bit more, I Will get 3GB in this machine.

I don't quite get the question / poll... do we answer how much ram is good, or how much is too much? I answered 1gb since it's an improvment over 512, but over 1gb is too much.
 
1 gig is fine, 2 gigs for me would be useless but sooner or later I'll probably end up with 2 gigs. 😛
