I'm just interested in the average linguistical talent of us. Why did we learn the languages we speak?

English (stupid 1st grade teacher told me i could'nt speak chinese)

Now for the languages i can barely speak.
Spanish (damn high school requirement) - Barely able to understand it... hablo espanol muy MALO!!!
