How many inches is your..

Looking at purchasing a new laptop--my current one is a handy portable 12" one which was great over the weekend when I was traveling, but I can't help but get screen envy when I see a 15 incher, or especially those 17 inch ones..

What size is yours?

15.4. I don't like it, though. My laptop is too clunky and hard to carry around. I don't really need the power either, because I have a desktop. I would prefer a 12.1 or 13.3" laptop for school and traveling.

Just a quick question, how is portability/weight/convenience of having a 17" or higher screen? Reason being is that I want to get an Alienware laptop this summer for college, and dunno if I'll be taking it anywhere.
Also, do you need a laptop bag to hold batteries and stuff?

Are you serious? That's basically a brick house. But I guess it's more portable than a desktop. For the most part you wont be usig your laptop that much anyways

I've got an Eddie Bauer backpack that I got from Target for $30. Only designed to fit a 15.4" WS laptop, but I can cram this 17" in there just fine (kekekeke, innuendo). I carried it around every day for a semester, it really wasn't too bad.

I got a cheap 14.1 that I use to take notes in for some courses and if I just want to browse the internet from the couch or bed.

Anyone have a 14" one? It seems like that's a good balance between size and portability..I've only seen IBMs with 14s though--who else offers them?
