I use the Win2K quick launch bar, for the most part. My iMac only has one icon (or 2 if there's a cd or dvd in the drive).

you guys can definitely remove your trashcan, use tweakui. also, y'z dock has a docklet for the trashcan so you can drag and drop

39. But only 5 or so that I use most of the time. I have most programs on the Quicklaunch bar.

No less than 4 (My computer, Network Places, Recycle Bin, My Docs) But I usually keep everything I'm working on currently on there... that is the point of the desktop. Right now I have 9, the other 5 are files for school projects I'm working on.
