How many Hz is there for a half-step in music?

Just like the topic states. I'm looking to know how many Hz there is between notes. Does anyone know what Hz a 'C' is?

it's logarithmic, I believe that between subsequent 'C' notes, or any note for that matter, the frequency increases by 2. But don't quote me on that.

Yeah, it's a logarithmic scale. I belive middle C is 263 Hz, but I could be wrong.

speaking of frequency, is there some program that will use your keyboard to create different frequencies like a midi keyboard does? and record it as a midi sequence?
