How many hours of vacation do you have left for the year?

I'm jelous of all you guys 😉

I get 10 vacation days/year... I've used up 5 so far. I'm taking 2 days off on columbus day weekend to babysit my nephew while my sister and her husband go on vacation for a 5 days, and I'll probably use the last 3 days to take a couple long weekends to visit the SO in philly.

I'm getting crap for sometime now. I have a staffing shortage so I haven't been able to make time to take vacation.

36 hrs comp
100 hrs vacation
36 hrs personal

I might get to rollover 40 at the end of the year.

damn wish i had as many days as some of you guys do. 39 days?? how long you been there?

my last job was 10 days total. this job right now is 7 days. i think it goes up to 9 days on my anniversary date in november. i think they may also be upping the standard days to 10 soon. i hope so and i hope my new days carry over. but then i think 16 days is the max you can get.

its weird, because they some some really nice benefits here but not for vacation days. i guess maybe thats how they afford the nice benefits...

I'm Belgian, by law everyone has a minimum of 22 days, doesn't matter how long you work for a company

I assume your either
1) Self employed
2) THAT guy who saves all his vacation to take the last month and a half off of the year

1) Not Self employed.
2) I can carry over 640 hours year to year.

I work 10 hour days, 4 days a week.
I earn 12 hours vacation a month plus 10 hours sick leave.
I get 13 paid holidays.
For my first 50 hours of OT, I can claim Compensated Time Off (CTO), which I do every year. 50 Hours CTO = 75 hours off.
I get about 250 - 500 hours of OT every winter.

Most self-employed people don't get vacation. They're too busy working and running their business.

My vacation time is anytime I'm not working. No set time so it's tough to plan a vacation.

10 sick hours/month? Jeez..

I get 15 days/year combined time off (sick / vacation / 'personal days' all rolled into one), plus federal holidays.

Looks like I need a new job.

I have about 700 hours of vacation left.. losing a few at the end of the fiscal year, but i have so many, who cares...

280 hours.

the reason why i have so many is because i have been at this company for 7 years and earn 15.7 hours a month in PTO time. And I do a lot of after hours work that can be done only after hours and my boss never charges me vacation time when i take it. fine by me, if i ever quit or get canned its just more the company has to shell out to me.

I have 72 hours left. I'll carry them all over because the wife wants to go to Maui again for two weeks in January. Then I'll still have some left for next year.

I'm going to assume there's a typo in that sentence.

I have 38 hours left. It works out to be about a week.

Damn, I had 9 days and then changed it to 72 (hours) but forgot to change days to hours. 😛

I think I have about 60 hours or so that have been earned and not used, but I should have about 88 hours by year-end if I do not use any more vacation. However, I have a 1/2day scheduled off next week and a full day the week after. I'll probably take off during American Education week, too. Not sure how much I will roll into next year.

121 hours on the books, with at least 7 pay periods (every 2 weeks) left in the tax year...... maybe 8.......so figure 56 hours left to earn this year. I can roll over 240 hours every year, and earn 208 per year, and this will be the first year I haven't rolled over just under the limit, in probably 8 years now.

Of course, I donated 100 hours to my sister (cool feature in civil service.......people that are at zero leave balance due to illness or other good reason like that can sign up to have people donate leave to them.....my sis has been in and out of the hospital this year, so signed up for the program and had over 250 hours donated to her! 😀 ), and told her there was more available if she needed it.

Probably 100+ hours vacation and about 65hrs sick time. I'd love to be able to actually use some of the vacation time up, but can't due to staffing constraints.

I'm actually a little glad my company doesn't let us carry vacation days over from year to year... if they did, I'd never use them.

with the "use it or lose it" mentality, it at least forces me to take vacations, which I never realize how badly I need until I get away from the pressure cooker 😛

heh-heh...how many hours are left in the year? I haven't worked in almost 3 years, so every day is a vacation of sorts...I stay home, they mail me a check every 2 weeks...probably going to come to an end soon however...Voc-Rehab is trying to get me into some kind of re-training...(wouldya like to super-size that?)

Being self-employed, I have no paid vacation 🙁 The benefit is that I can take off whenever I want (within reason of course), and sometimes I take a month or so off. The negative of course is that I am ultimately paying for it.
