How many hours of sleep do YOU need a day to function right?

I usually need an odd number. I'm ok with 5 or 7, but 6 or 8 hours and I wake up groggy and exhausted.

That's because you are waking up in the middle of deep sleep and for the rest of the day your body is going to try to finish the sleep cycle.

I need at least 3 hours to function an entire day, however if I keep that up for a week, I'll be completely burned out on friday / saturday

I feel great if I can get at least 5 hours. I can operate on less, and hate to sleep more than 7 hours. Life's too short to sleep through it.

4-6hrs on workdays
weekends 10+ --> i feel like sh!t after sleeping for more than 10 hrs - but i am so tired that i just cant get up sometimes, specially saturday morning 🙁

hm. 5.5 hours gets me through the day, but I feel a little sleepy and have a very minor headache. 7 hours is usually good for me.

I voted >10 cause I feel awesome after marathon sleeping...

4-6 hours is fine for me as long as I am doing something that is intellectually challenging. No matter how much sleep I get I will zonk out if what I'm doing is really boring.

Ideally 8 but I usually get around 7 hours. I could probably manage with 6 but I would be a zombie all day at work. I have a habit of waking up early on the weekends so I can no longer get those 10+ hours that I used to get. 🙁

I've never really needed a whole lot of sleep and usually get around 5 a night including weekends. I can function pretty well on 4 though I will tend to get tired in the evening. No matter how hard I try I can't seem to sleep past 7 am and I hope I'm not shortening my life span.

I NEED 7+ hours but often I will only get 3-6 because I love staying up late. I pay for it the next morning, though. I usually can't do many nights in a row under four hours before I am in a zombie state and start drifting off at work or while watching t.v. at night or even nodding off at the computer at home. That's when I know it's time to get some rest.

Put down the BF1942 CD and step away from the computer. 😀

<4 - I am in a daze all day long and struggling to stay awake.
4-6 - I have periods of tiredness, but can function ok if I make my coffee extra strong.
7-8 - I have a really hard time getting out of bed, but the shower wakes me up and I feel pretty good for the rest of the day.
9-10 - This is when i will normally wake up without an alarm clock or my kids jumping on me. In other words, it never happens.

About 9 hours would be perfect. The norm is usually 6 or 7.
Depends on how long I play BF1942. I usually start playing around 9 or 10 pm and my goal is to stop by midnight since I have to get up at 7am. But sometimes if I'm really having fun, I'll stay up till 1 or 2am.

I usually get between 6 and 7 hours a night which is just fine. Sometimes I only get 4 and that can be a bit rough.

DAMN, you caught me... LMAO. Yeah, umm that's a big part of it! HAHA..I just wasn't going to mention it. I just discovered that new map Liberation of Caen in the 1.6 patch so that's what I'll be doing in the wee hours tonight. Sleep be damned! 😀
