Probably close to 500. Not a huge amount but it certainly does help. Will never be salaried-exempt ever again. This year should be even more OT.

570 here. Our company changed our OT policy last year. Any sick/vacation/holiday hours used in a pay week do not go towards OT anymore.

I am salary, but I get the perks of hourly. I only worked 17 hours of OT last year.

Exempt, but you cannot give the government free time, so we get credit hours/comp time.

That said, pretty much zero. I'd prefer my free time to any OT.

I work to live, I don't live to work.

But I almost lost vacation hours due to use or lose. HAVE to use at least 4 weeks this year.

As I've aged, I've come to realize the most valuable commodity I know of is time (shamelessly paraphrasing Gekko).

This.
My life isn't about working my ass off for someone else.
I work so I can have money and enjoy my life.
All these people putting in crazy amountsof hours, sure you have the OT pay, but you don't have time to enjoy it.

I worked 24 hours of OT last year and that's what I'll do this year too. We have 1 day a year we come in on the weekend and pull a 24 hour shift and that's it.

I'm not going to work my ass to the grave. If people are working that much OT, the employer needs to hire more help.

20 Paid for Straight Time (Certain Conditions Only)...Not sure about unpaid, also depends what you count...I do emails after hours on my blackberry a couple times a week so 5-10mins=12 hours a year just on that....

Salary seems awesome when you sign up....but I'd rather get paid overtime. Actually I'd rather have a huge salary and not work more than 40 hours. I like to do stuff other than spend time at work.

I agree. I hate all the OT with a passion. I do it for now cause I have goals I want to achieve with the money. I'll have my fun and work a nice M-F 40 hour week schedule someday. I'd love to have a 40hr week job and take home the same money I do now but not gonna happen for a high school dropout with a felony. I have no other option right now unless I want to be old and broke. I know it's my own fault and I'm man-ing up and doing what I need to do.

Super low this year, only around 100. Not much OT in the office and no field work.

We have our busy season (aka now) where 55+hr weeks are expected (and I did just that), but from May to October we're on summer hours (35hr weeks) so it all evens out in the end.

None...thankfully.

For many years, my minimum work week was 50 hours, with the normal work week being 72 (or more) hours.

My last 5 year stint working for corporate America, I averaged 20 hours a week so, that's 1000 hours of OT a year for 5 years. So, why am I broke?

Averaged about 30-40hrs of OT a month the past year.. so I'm looking at around 420hrs?

Although this year, I've said fuck it to the OT (so far, I'll see how long I can get away with this..).

hard to say. I technically work overtime every week. However I rarely work 40 hours. There are only 2 months out of the year where I put in over 40 on purpose.
