Generally 2 to 3 hours, less if nothing due the next day, 4 to 5 if there's an actual assignment due. Grad student, masters in tax accounting.

about 2-3 hours a day.

engineering major. work part time and 13 credit hours.

If I study daily I can avoid those days that people have to study all day.

Most of my HW consist of reading and some essay's about once every two weeks.
i probably do about 12 hours of reading and about another 4 hours of just writing essays.

Edit: to answer the question about 2.5 hours a day.

Its sounds like the majority of you guys have less homework than me. Im in 12th grade and do about 6-8 hours a night.

Is college easier than high school?

how can there be so much high school hw??

7AP classes at an advanced academics school (our AP classes are harder than most AP classes)

Sucks to be you, I only have 5 classes in college and only study 30 min a day for calc3 and fluid and thermodynamics.

3hrs each night. Taking a language course, 3.5hrs each class, 3 days a week. 36weeks and I should be able to pass the language test to go to the universities.

In college, I probably did about 2hrs of "homework" each night, but after that I usually did my own reviewing for another 3hrs at least.

Depends on the class and the homework...

Programming Class: .5hrs a project up to 2 hours
Western Lit: A lot of reading and studying, atleast an hour a day. (Up to 3 or 4 if i'm studying for a test)
Western Civ: Same as western Lit
Calculus: Maybe 2 hours a week (More if there is a test, but our teacher is easy)
