Uh, 14 hours ought to get you well into Ohio if you're starting in VT. I made it from western OH to Campton NH in 14 this summer. Unless you're making the trip at 30 mph it's not going to take you 28 hours total. You can drive it in one day.

Dunno. The most I've ever actually done is about 4. Columbia, SC to Atlanta. Weak, I know, but I've not needed to make long drives for anything. I have absolutely no problems (outside of my butt needing a break) with 4-hour drives. As long as I've got some good CDs to listen to. :)

I've gone from Tallahassee, FL to Hartford, CT, back and forth 3 times.
The longest I made it on the way up was about 20 out of the 24 hours. I could have gone further, but my buddy made me stop.
On the way back, I drove straight, except about 1 hr at a rest stop ...

Tallahassee, FL to San Antonio, TX
On the way there, drove straight through (14 hrs) ... way back, stopped 10 hrs into it ...

Fun stuff ...

I've also made numerous drives from TLH to S.FL ... 7 hrs a pop ...

Two trips...

First, South Bend, IN, to Atlanta, GA. Left South Bend at 6PM. Got to Atlanta around 9AM. 14 hrs. Didn't sleep a wink. I was caravanning with a bunch of friends heading for a wedding in Birmingham. We decided to "vacation" in Atlanta for a couple of days. Horrible idea. I should've gone straight to Birmingham. Birmingham to South Bend was a 10 hr drive. Fortunately, I had company to help me stay awake.

Second, South Bend, IN, to Wichita, KS. Left South Bend at 2PM. Got to Wichita at 4AM. 14hrs. All alone, and I didn't sleep a wink. Reversed this trip 2 weeks later, but I lost several hours in Lawrence and Kansas City. So, on the return home, I didn't get into South Bend until around 8 AM.

As long as I have good music, I'm set. I usually get antsy around 6 or 7 hours into a drive and want to get out from behind the wheel.

Since caffeine and sugar don't do anything to keep me awake, I have nothing [legal] to overcome my natural tendencies to fall asleep at the wheel very easily. Max I've driven is probably like 3 hours or so, but it's hard to say exactly. Not very far at all.

I drove from Tampa, FL to San Diego, CA straight through. I nearly committed suicide in the middle of Texas.

That's 2300 miles and over 40 hours.

I did New Brunswick Canada to Columbus OH hauling a Uhaul. 5am till 10 am the next day.

Most driving in a week. NB, Canada to NY..4 hours sleep then back to NB. Night sleep there then straight to Toronto the next day. two nights there then back to NB. Crazy week.

That's nuts Antisocial-Virge, do you like driving that much, or do you have a secret you can share?
